Minister of Posts and Telecommunications of Cambodia, Mr So Khun paid a working visit to Ha Noi from 26th to 29th September 2012 at the invitation of Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Bac Son. The aims of the visit were to develop further cooperation between the ministries in the fields of information and communications as well as strengthening the traditional friendship between the two countries. The visit of Mr. So Khun happened during the commemoration of Vietnam and Cambodia for the Friendship Year 2012 and the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties.
On September 27th, Minister So Khun had a bilateral talk with Minister Nguyen Bac Son. At the meeting, both ministers focused on the issues of exchanging and cooperation between the two Ministries, and the problems of telecommunications and postal management, frequency radio management, Internet resource management and security information. Minister So Khun expressed his interests in cooperating with Viet Nam, especially in developing management policy, radio frequency coordination and management of telecommunications and Internet resources, in addition to expecting the help of Vietnam for human resource training in Cambodia.
Under the working program at MIC, Minister So Khun paid a visit to VNNIC and VNTA at the VNNIC building. On this occasion, Mr So Khun asked the Vietnam’s agencies to support the telecommunications and Internet resources management of Cambodia. VNNIC and VNTA would promote further collaboration and experience sharing on State management in telecoms, Internet and human resource training between two nations in the near future.
