VNNIC and Department of Information and Communications of Can Tho city sign cooperation agreement on Internet resource management (27/02/2014)

Within the working visit of Mr. Nguyen Bac Son, Minister of Information and Communications (MIC) and other representatives of MIC to Can Tho city, Vietnam Internet Network Information Center (VNNIC) and the Department of Information and Communications of Can Tho city held the signing ceremony of the “Cooperation Agreement on collaboration of communication and reinforcement of Internet resource management”.

In recent years, VNNIC has strengthened the relationship with municipal Departments of Information and Communications (DIC) by exchanging information and cooperating in the management and implementation of internet resource policies in provinces, especially Can Tho. In 2013, the DIC and VNNIC collaborated to organize the conference “Protecting Vietnamese brand name with domain name .vn” in order to improve the public awareness among local organizations and businesses about management policies and domain development.

Based on the cooperation agreement, VNNIC and the DIC of Can Tho city will continue working on the initiatives to raise community awareness about Internet resources and country code top level domain (ccLTD) .vn, Vietnamese domain, IPv6 deployment, as well as executing the inspection and examination of the registration and usage of Internet resources in Can Tho city.
