VNNIC and KISA continue to strengthen partnership (November, 2018)

In November 2018, two meeting were jointly held by Viet Nam Internet Network Information Center (VNNIC) and Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) in order to discuss about issues of Internet resources management under the impacts of Industry 4.0. After the meetings, both VNNIC and KISA expressed their desire to enhance their coordination and expand the scope of MoU in the future.

Policy meeting in the issues of Internet resources management (22^nd – 23^rd November, 2018)

Under scope of MoU between VNNIC and KIA singed in 2015, VNNIC and KISA took effort to hold bilateral meetings every year with the aim to discuss policies and share experiences in Internet resources management. VNNIC delegation headed by Mr. Nguyen Hong Thang, Deputy Director General of VNNIC had paid a working visit to Korea from 22^nd to 23^rdNovember, 2018. The meeting this year was focused on the contents of ccTLD Registry operation, value-added services for “.VN” and “.KR” domain name, WHOIS & Data management, domain dispute resolution policy, IPv6 deployment and security for critical information infrastructures (CII). Besides, both sides also discussed about the impacts of digital transition and impacts of Industry 4.0 on Internet resources management.

Bilateral meeting for further discussion about the coordination between VNNIC and KISA (on 31^st November, 2018)

With the aim to jointly discuss about future cooperation plans between VNNIC and KISA for the mutual interest in the management of Internet resources, KISA delegation headed by Mr. YongWan JU, Vice President of KISA paid a working visit to VNNIC’s office in Hanoi. Both VNNIC and KISA representatives wished to expand the depth and breadth of some contents of MoU, including coordination in Internet promotion activities and implementation of new technologies (big data, IoT, AI, etc.) to ensure security for CII and develop Internet resources.
