The team of Viet Nam Internet Network Information Center (VNNIC) had a bilateral meeting with the team of Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) at VNNIC’s head office in Hanoi, Viet Nam from 29th to 30th November, 2017. The representatives of Department of Central posts and Telecommunications (CPT), Authority of Information Technology Application (AITA) and 2 major local ISPs in Viet Nam (FPT and VNPT) also participated in the session of IPv6 deployment.
This bilateral meeting is part of the cooperation activities involved in the MoU signed between VNNIC and KISA in February 2015, in order to share information, experiences in Internet resources management in Viet Nam and Korea. The topics of meeting includes Internet resources management policy, domain-name dispute resolution policy, safeguarding intellectual property rights, issues on technical system security, domain-name development strategies, IPv6 deployment and future cooperation plan between VNNIC and KISA.
After two working days, Mr. Cho Jin Huyn, the General Director of Korea Network Information Center (KRNIC) and Mr. Nguyen Hong Thang, Deputy Director of VNNIC appreciated that both sides had worked effectively, especially on IPv6 promotion plan. It is expected that friendship between VNNIC and KISA will continue grow in more aspects.
