Kể từ ngày hôm nay, ngày 25/10/2012, VNNIC đã cung cấp thêm dịch vụ DNS hosting miễn phí cho các tên miền tiếng Việt (TMTV) đã được xác nhận quyền sử dụng. Đây là dịch vụ nhằm giúp cho người sử dụng có thể tự quản lý được tên miền trên máy chủ DNS, hỗ trợ khai báo và duy trì các bản ghi dữ liệu tên miền (resource record) như các bản ghi: A; AAAA; MX; CNAME.

In Vietnam, Internet resources including “.vn” ccTLD, Internet addresses (IPv4/IPv6), Autonomous system number (ASN) are national information resources. Ngày 23/10/2012, Trung tâm Internet Việt Nam (VNNIC) đã tổ chức kỳ họp giao ban các Nhà đăng ký tên miền “.vn” tại Việt Nam nhằm trao đổi thông tin quản lý và triển khai nghiệp vụ đăng ký tên miền ".vn" cho hệ thống Nhà đăng ký tên miền ".vn".
Ngày 15/10/2012 VNNIC đã triển khai hệ thống helpdesk và chính thức đi vào hoạt động tại địa chỉ http://helpdesk.vnnic.vn nhằm nâng cao hiệu quả và chất lượng phục vụ trong công tác hỗ trợ, phối hợp làm việc giữa VNNIC và các thành viên (ISP) của VNIX.

Vietnam National Internet eXchange (VNIX) is a system of transferring domestic Internet traffic between Internet service providers (ISPs).
The national DNS .VN of Vietnam is technical system to ensure the operation of national domain name of Vietnam (.VN domain name) over internet. Vietnam Internet Network Information Center (VNNIC) – Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) setups, manages and operates national DNS .VN of Vietnam.
